Please see the below message from Mary Beth Hill, Lexington 1 Communications:

ALL after school activities are cancelled this afternoon, Wednesday, February 24th due to pending inclement weather.

THIS INCLUDES ALPHABEST After School program at Lake Murray.  If you have a student in Alphabest, please contact the Office at 821-3100 to let us know how your child will be going home at 2:25 this afternoon.

CHORUS has also been cancelled.   Also, any tutoring that may have been scheduled.

Again ALL after school activities in Lexington 1 have been cancelled this afternoon.

After carefully monitoring the weather situation, considering the expectation of high winds later this afternoon/evening and consulting with Lexington County and Lexington County Emergency Preparedness officials, Lexington County School District One is canceling all after-school programs, athletic practices or events, adult education classes, other school or district-related meetings, events or extra-curricular activities scheduled for after school or evening  for today, Tuesday, February 24, 2016.

This is for all students in all Lexington One attendance areas.

District officials will keep parents, staff and students informed by using SchoolMessenger to get emergency and other messages out quickly by telephone. Parents can also get information about school openings and closings in Lexington One by watching local television stations, going to media websites, listening to local radio stations, checking the district’s website at www.lexington1.net or by calling the district’s 24-hour recorded telephone message center at 803-821-1299.
