Filling Buckets and Red Ribbon Week

LMES celebrated Red Ribbon Week last week!  Kindness was a standout feature during Red Ribbon Week at Lake Murray Elementary.  Teachers read “Have You Filled a Bucket Today” by Carol McCloud.  Students were challenged to fill as many buckets as possible at school, home and in their community.  The week began with writing about how to fill someone’s bucket.  Students put kindness into action by participating in a food drive for our local food bank, LICS. The busy week ended with planting daffodils in the flower beds to beautify the school street entrance.  All of these wonderful activities were led by LMES’ amazing guidance counselors, Julie Shealy and Julie Gies.
